¡¡¡¡ABC Textile Co., Ltd has combined the selected skills of Beijing Woolen, Sunry Development and L. W. Packard. Beijing Woolen brings local skills and trained personal to ABC along with extensive knowledge about vendors. Sunry Development is an aggressive trading company specializing in precious fiber / fur (Cashmere, Angora, Camel Hair and high end fur) business. Sunry also has strong trading experience in different markets worldwide. Sunry currently has a very successful fiber division, a growing fur division and a largely successful cashmere sweater division. The new joint venture has the capacity and ability to make woven fabrics of the highest quality using the sourcing and purchasing power of Sunry Development to enhance the customer service. L. W. Packard is a privately held US based company which has relocated its textile finishing machinery to the JV. In 1995, L. W. Packard was named by Textile World magazine as one of the 10 most modern textile mills in the world. Packard brings its woolen fabric knowledge to the joint venture. This includes its American marketing expertise along with good employee safety and environmental skills. One of the most important skills that Packard brings is its ability to utilize low cost fibers and produce high quality fabrics. The new Joint Venture has a very special piece carbonizer machine with the ability to clean grease and oil from the fabric, remove all vegetable contamination, and to remove all polypropylene fiber contamination. This process all takes place in a single state of the art machine. The general manager Mr. John Glidden (The president of L. W. Packard) states that this patented process allows the Joint Venture to utilize lower cost raw materials than its competitors. The second feature of the Joint Venture is that it is a piece dye operation. With piece dye fabrics we are able to respond in a matter of days and not weeks to a customer¡¯s special needs. In this highly competitive just in time environment Mr. John Glidden states that delivery time is critical. The Packard staff is managing the daily operation of the plant. There are also experts in manufacturing and finance from the three partners in the management team. Packard will be constantly training the staff on how to run a modern piece dye woolen mill.
